John is a triple attendee of the University of Washington. He is responsible for the office’s business analysis, marketing, hiring, and administrative functions.
John Avi Socha serves as the Chief Operating Officer at the Firm, acting as the second in command to the CEO – a role he has occupied since 2019. He manages the firm’s day-to-day operations, overseeing marketing initiatives, client success, staff management, talent acquisition, data analytics, finance, and regulatory compliance, ensuring a seamless office operation. Prior to this role, Mr. Socha worked as an Extension Lecturer at the University of Washington, imparting knowledge to the next generation of legal professionals.
Mr. Socha’s honed his expertise in finance and analytics with the U.S. Department of State, where he spearheaded business anti-fraud investigations while overseas. His analytical expertise was further developed during his work with the Washington State Senate, where he served as a session staffer and communications analyst. In his current role, Mr. Socha passionately fights for the best outcomes for the firm’s clients, where he believes he (and HLG as a whole) can make a significant impact on the lives of children and families everywhere. He has carried his passion for family advocacy forward through his work with multiple domestic and international nonprofits, and as a child of adoption himself.
Focusing on law and administration, Mr. Socha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, and Public Policy from the University of Washington. He graduated with his MBA a year early from the Michael G. Foster School of Business.
