Profile

David is a law student at the University of Washington School of Law and will be joining Hemmat Law Group’s complex litigation team in Summer 2025.

David most recently served as a summer extern with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Civil Division, conducting legal research and drafting materials that supported legal guidance for county agencies. During the academic year, he is involved in the Immigration Law Clinic, where he assists with asylum and family-based immigration matters.

Before law school, David spent five years as an immigration paralegal, working across three states in both large nonprofits and a boutique law firm. He has worked closely with domestic violence survivors preparing immigration petitions, assisted businesses in sponsoring employees for work visas, and helped individuals navigate asylum and related immigration matters.

David earned his undergraduate degree in history and Spanish from Williams College.
