Peter Lu is the former managing attorney of Styles Law, joining the Hemmat Law Group’s complex litigation team in 2025. He is a native of Washington and and grew up in the Tri Cities.

Before he joined the team, Peter attended Columbia Law School and graduated in 2018. He served as a staff editor for Columbia’s Journal of Environmental Law, as well as an Editor on the Foundation Moot Court.

In addition to years of family law experience, Peter previously worked with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, the Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Benton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Before joining Hemmat Law, Peter maintained a parallel criminal defense practice alongside his family law clients. From his time as a prosecutor with various districts, Peter prosecuted thousands of misdemeanors and hundreds of felonies including Homicides and Sex Crimes.
