The Hemmat Law Group is seeking a Pro Bono Family Law Attorney to lead our pro bono and community outreach efforts. This role is designed for an attorney who wants to make a direct, meaningful impact in the community by working closely with individuals navigating family law issues.
This position will be responsible for setting up our formal pro bono legal clinic and related outreach efforts. The role may be performed in a hybrid or fully remote capacity, depending on location and experience.
Founded in 1994 by Steven Amir Hemmat, a former DOJ trial attorney, The Hemmat Law Group is a Seattle based family law firm focused on some of the Pacific Northwest’s most complex and high conflict divorce, custody, and high asset matters.
We are known for providing clear, steady guidance during deeply personal transitions. Our work is grounded in strong advocacy, thoughtful strategy, and practical, compassionate counsel. Community engagement and access to justice are essential parts of that mission.
Individuals who seek pro bono support are often navigating divorce, custody disputes, domestic violence concerns, or other major transitions involving their children and families, often during periods of high stress and uncertainty.
As the Pro Bono Family Law Attorney, you will lead our legal clinic efforts and provide guidance, legal information, and support to individuals in a thoughtful, empathetic, and professional manner. This role is focused on client facing work, community impact, and program stewardship for an independent and driven individual.
You will help individuals understand their options, identify next steps, and access appropriate resources while exercising sound legal judgement.
You will receive a response within two business days of submitting your application. The interview process generally includes two conversations with members of our hiring team.
