Katie Morgan

Litigation Paralegal

Katie is HLG’s most experienced staff litigator, leading the firm’s investigations and due diligence unit. She works as an Extension Lecturer teaching civil procedure to students at the UW.

One of the most important things I’ve learned in family law is that the legal issues are only part of the story. Every case involves people, relationships, and life transitions that can have a lasting impact. I value being part of a team that helps clients navigate those challenges with clarity, compassion, and a sense of direction.

Growing up on the east coast, Ms. Morgan is originally from northern New Jersey. She attended Mount St. Mary’s University located in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and minor in Business. She was also a member of the University’s Division I softball team.

Upon graduating from the Mount in 2019, she ventured to Seattle to attend the University of Washington’s Paralegal Studies program. She earned her Paralegal Certification in 2020 while working at Brothers & Henderson, P.S.. She went on to become a Paralegal focusing on estate administration and estate planning work.

Ms. Morgan made the pivot to family law in 2022 and continues to support the Firm to this day.

Outside of the law firm, Ms. Morgan enjoys yoga classes, running her book club, and going on adventures with her Siberian Husky, Zoey.
