Jessica Phillips

Litigation Paralegal

Jessica has been a family law litigator for her entire career. She has the most trial experience out of all of HLG’s support staff.

What I enjoy most about family law is the opportunity to help people through some of life’s toughest transitions. Clients often come to us at a point of uncertainty, and I think it’s important to meet them where they are and understand the bigger picture of what they’re experiencing. My background in sociology shaped the way I view each case, reminding me that every legal matter is also a human story involving relationships, change, and resilience.

Jessica was born in Seattle and raised in the Tacoma area. Originally equipped with an associate degree in digital design, Jessica underwent a transformative personal journey after several of life’s notorious twists and turns. Intrigued by the profound impact of legal issues on individuals, she immersed herself in legal studies, earning her Paralegal certificate in 2019. In 2022 she went on to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in law and policy, with a minor in sociology from the University of Washington.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, hosting game nights, going to various shows and concerts, and participating in various arts and crafts, specially stained glass.
