Profile

Spencer Varga is a rising 3L law student at Gonzaga University School of Law. He joins Hemmat Law Group as a Summer Associate in Summer 2026. Spencer currently serves as an associate editor on the Gonzaga Journal of International Law. He has gained hands-on experience through a judicial externship with the Spokane County Juvenile Court, where he conducts legal research, drafts court orders, and observes family law and juvenile proceedings, including protection orders and child welfare matters. He also previously worked with Advocates for Immigrants in Detention Northwest, where he supported fundraising and community outreach efforts and helped connect individuals with legal and support resources.

Spencer is a first-generation college graduate and law student, and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, where he studied Criminal Justice and graduated with Dean’s List honors.

A Pacific Northwest native, Spencer enjoys spending time on the water, going to Mariners games, and playing pickleball.
