Build Your Washington Family Law Career from Anywhere

Looking for meaningful family law work without sacrificing flexibility?

Hemmat Law Group is seeking a Washington-licensed attorney to join our growing litigation team. This remote opportunity allows attorneys residing in Washington, Oregon, or California to build a successful family law career while working alongside a collaborative and highly supportive team.

You’ll have the flexibility of remote work without being expected to operate as a solo practitioner. We provide the mentorship, infrastructure, and administrative support that allow attorneys to focus on practicing law.

While family law experience is strongly preferred, we are open to attorneys with other litigation backgrounds who are excited to build a long-term career in family law.

About Us

Founded in 1994 by Steven Amir Hemmat, a former DOJ trial attorney, Hemmat Law Group is a Seattle-based family law firm representing clients throughout King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties.

Our attorneys handle complex family law matters including divorce, child custody disputes, parenting plans, relocations, modifications, and high asset divorces. We are known for providing clear guidance, strong advocacy, and practical solutions during some of the most difficult periods in our clients’ lives.

Why Attorneys Choose HLG

Remote Flexibility Without the Isolation

Many attorneys enjoy working remotely but miss having a team behind them.

At HLG, you’ll have access to:

  • A dedicated intake team that handles consultations and lead follow-up
  • A billing team that manages invoicing and collections
  • Experienced paralegals and legal support staff
  • Operations, HR, IT, and administrative support
  • Modern technology designed to support a seamless remote practice

You won’t be expected to generate your own leads, manage collections, or handle administrative responsibilities outside the practice of law.

Meaningful Litigation Experience

You’ll work on sophisticated family law matters involving high-conflict custody disputes, high-asset divorces, relocations, modifications, and contested litigation.

Mentorship That Matters

We believe great attorneys are developed through mentorship, collaboration, and experience.

Whether you’re newer to family law or bringing years of litigation experience, you’ll work alongside attorneys who are invested in your success. Questions are encouraged, ideas are welcomed, and no one is expected to figure everything out alone.

Connected Team Culture

Although our team works in a variety of locations, we prioritize staying connected. Through regular collaboration, mentorship, meetings, and quarterly team events, our attorneys remain engaged, supported, and connected to the broader team.

Flexibility Without Sacrificing Support

Enjoy the benefits of remote work while remaining connected to a collaborative, experienced, and highly supportive litigation team.
